esshaq hassan was cast as the big brother who gives guidance to “khalid” after a family tragedy occurs. esshaq and sadeq are brothers in real life and it was the right thing to cast non-actors, real brothers in a film about love and death.
one of esshaq’s attributes is his patience with allowing the crew to film at their family’s establishment - jersey fried chicken - running the store, managing the employees, dealing with shady characters, and acting while working at the same time with customers screaming out their orders and “us” filming real life situation unfold. i’m glad to know, respect and admire the hassan family.
