steven bennett - shaun muhajir
after studying at the new york conservatory for dramatic arts and study with the late, tina sattin, the first acting coach of denzel washington; steven was cast in the jerry roebuck produced play “harlem coffee shop,” playing an ex-college hoop star which ran at the beacon theater. steven was in the popular off-broadway play “platanos and collard greens” as the poetic revolutionary lead, freeman. he was also cast as the lead character in “from auction block to hip hop.” after two years, he ended the run with both shows in march 2008. steven has played a myriad of characters so far in his career; from becoming the acclaimed and highly effeminate author, james baldwin in “scribblin at the automat;” to a brash, virile southerner, robert earl hayes in “the exonerated;” from a frat boy, simpleton in andrew lynagh’s tv pilot “comic strip” to now a young, confounded muslim with a vendetta in roberto lopez’s “lost brother.”
